Brielle is 7!

Brielle wanted to celebrate with a unicorn rainbow party.

This cake was much tastier than Lily's was last year. I originally made a purple layer to go on the bottom, but it was on a cooling rack within Carter's reach and the remains couldn't be saved!

She got some fun gifts, including some butterfly magnets you could paint and decorate yourself which the girls did right away and loved it. The paints were still out when Carter woke up so he had to give it a try!

That evening, a bunch of hot air balloons were flying overhead, and then one landed right in the neighborhood! We rode our bikes over to get a closer look.

The girls call it "the birthday balloon" since we saw it flying on Friday (her birthday) and on Saturday (her party day).

Love this new growth chart Brandon made for us! She's almost Hershey bar height!

I love how Brielle is starting to want to do grown up things and take pride in them. She reads and looks at books at her own or reads them to her siblings. She's more independent about getting ready or doing something she can do on her own. She is enjoying soccer again this fall, and is slightly more assertive than last season! She's started piano lessons and does a great job; she continues to be friendly and fun to be with and is always making friends. She likes school, though if you ask her at the end of the day she doesn't, because she's so worn out! Her favorite is still lunch and recess, but she has a fun time with math and her writing is improving. Her top tooth that she lost in the spring is finally starting to grown in. Happy birthday Brielle we love you!

Unicorn races look like a lot of fun! You know there's magic in unicorn horns. I predict a happy year full of adventures in and out of school!
