Summer Fun

Later in June we took a trip to Ocean City and had a great time hanging out at the beach

At Ropewalk for dinner....everyone's drinks came in a pitcher with a straw!
The kids meals were served on a frisbee to take home.

We also enjoyed edible cookie dough from DoDo's and the wings and street corn at the Longboard Cafe  were excellent!

We had fun on the boardwalk bike surrey

we pedaled all the way to the end of the boardwalk and took in the sights

Cool seaweed rocks :)

Our traveling done, we embarked on a new adventure.....getting a puppy!
Lily did all the research and negotiating and bargaining and begging and we finally took the plunge. We met the puppies after our Montreal trip and then took ours home after the beach trip.

This is Reese, our bichon frise puppy!

She's a cutie!

We had a good patriotic symphony concert

Free slurpees on 7-11 day

Brielle and Carter joined the summer swim team and had a great time. We had to quickly get used to a lot of early morning practices and then the hours-long meets

But it was fun, including the themes like Cowboy day

and winning a prize for getting first in a heat!

We took a trip to Pittsburgh and on the way we stopped at a state park for a little hike. It was beautiful!

We didn't have cell or satellite reception for a little while so the map couldn't navigate for us! Luckily we'd figured out enough ahead of time to get to a larger highway.

We got to tour the Pittsburgh temple it was so beautiful!

We enjoyed some Noodles & Co for dinner, followed by Crumbl cookies and some time in the hotel pool. The next morning we hurried back home to make it to a friend's baptism. His mom made these awesome Dinosaur cookies!
