The day after Thanksgiving we went to the Hershey Hotel Christmas tree lighting celebration. We wandered around inside and out playing the games set up, played with the pretend snow, munched on cookies and drank the best hot chocolate! The Hershey characters were there to flip the giant switch to light the tree, and the Christmas season had begun!
A few days later Brandon felt sick and tested positive for Covid :( We think he may have picked it up from traveling. For some reason the hospital had only provided flu shots to employees, and not Covid boosters so he hadn't gotten around to getting one before our trip. The rest of us were fine, although we slept apart and wore masks. It wasn't too terrible, but the inconvenience for his work, and Mama Judy canceling her plans to come visit were disappointing.
The girls after their Nutcracker performance. They had two shows and did such a great job!

Grandma came to visit us for Christmas! While she was here we visited the Amish House and farm. It was neat to learn more about the Amish and explore the farm.
They had these cute scooters for us to try!
The one room schoolhouse
We also tried the drinking chocolate at the Hershey Story. There were six different ones made from cocoa beans from different countries. They were all delicious but definitely distinct!
Just like the street lights!
Merry Christmas Eve!
We made a trifle for Christmas dessert
Brielle made a chocolate chess pie from the cookbook she got for Christmas. It was delicious and turned out perfectly!
