Tree trimmed and stockings hung! We haven't had a fireplace since we lived in New Mexico, so it was fun to finally hang stockings there!
One Saturday I took Brielle and Lily to a local mini horse farm and they got to do activities with them, like guiding them through an obstacle course. They had a good time and some of our friends were there too which made it fun.
Hershey Park put up more lights this year. Usually the waterpark is closed, but this time they let us walk through it and some of the water features were lit up! We also got unlimited refills of hot chocolate in our season pass drink cups. We only filled them up twice, but it was delicious and nice to have something warm to sip as we walked around and rode the train to look at lights.
Carter and I rode the cars first then finished in time to see everyone else in their cars. Brielle drove by herself and is getting out of the orange car. Lily and Daddy are in the purple car and Lily steered!
It snowed and the kids loved playing outside! The neighbors across the street have a little hill in their backyard so they said we were welcome to sled on it.
For our Christmas card we dressed as biblical characters. Lily's jacket looks just like lambswool up close so she was the sheep.
We worked on gingerbread houses and ice cream cone trees
For Christmas eve, Brandon received his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine! Hooray for science!
We had our special feast that night with ham, twice baked potatoes, rolls, salads and fruit and chocolate chip cookie pie! Everything was delicious and a lot easier than Thanksgiving! We got cookies ready for Santa, and Brielle set out her wish list with this cute note.
New Christmas pajamas!
Christmas morning we enjoyed opening presents, eating oven baked french toast, opening more presents and playing with them, and watching the new Disney movie Soul.
Carter made a cute art piece at school and gave it to us for Christmas. We received lots of thoughtful gifts from grandparents, cousins and each other and felt so loved!
I made a charcuterie board for snacking throughout the day. I think I ate most of it haha!
Merry Christmas!
We rang in the new year around 9:00 pm on New Year's Eve. We watched the London countdown and really enjoyed the fireworks and light show. We learned later the cool images in the sky were drones!
It's fun to decorate the tree for the New Year and the kids like popping the balloons to find money and jokes :) The girls have one more week of at home school then they'll go back to their half day schedules. Here's hoping 2021 is an improvement over 2020!
