What we did and ate during quarantine

When we got home from Disney World, the US was starting to shut things down to try to slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The hospital said Brandon had to self isolate for two weeks. He did lots of remote work, but it was nice to have him around to work on some things at home. That week school also was closed for what turned out to be the rest of the year. We had found a home in Hummelstown that looked nice and wanted to take a look. We were able to walk through the house the day after we got back from Florida. We put in an offer that evening and the next evening it was accepted! We were shocked it all was happening. The next day everything really shut down so it was so great we got to actually see the house, because other home buyers later on would not be able to walk through any homes. We hadn't been planning necessarily to move this year, so we had some
de-cluttering and repairs to do to get our townhome ready to sell!

We organized the music bookcase

Before: Craft and storage closet-yikes

AFTER!!
our master closet was also pretty bad and we got that
cleaned up, forgot to take photos though

Sanding and repainting the deck

A new coat of paint for the front door

power washing, it made such a difference!

We tried to keep the kids learning and growing through home learning and distance learning the school teachers provided. And of course had fun!

We reviewed what we do with each body part during prayer and put a sticker on each

Camping on the meteor shower night
Carter made it only a couple hours before he came inside with us. The girls stayed out all night. Brandon and I went out a little after midnight to wake them up and look for meteors. It was a clear night but windy and damp so it wasn't very comfortable. We only saw a couple meteors but they had a great time!

Tulips for Mother's Day

Lily's art class work
not pictured--the hours the kids had to spend online doing distance learning. The teachers did a great job coming up with material on short notice but by the end we were all tired of it.

Church at home

Many forts

And then there's the food....we tried lots of recipes and made lots of treats!

My ministering sister made this beautiful and yummy cake for my birthday!

Crepes

Making soft pretzels

The best cinnamon rolls ever!

Key lime pie

Giant Cookie

Spaetzle and meatballs

Mother's Day breakfast...Boston Creme French Toast

We were able to find a buyer for our townhome and get all the inspections and repairs for both houses taken care of...it just took a little extra time and steps because of the isolation regulations that were in place for inspectors, repairmen, etc. The buyers couldn't come see the house because of the restrictions, which was kind of nice for us, we didn't have to worry about keeping the house ready to show all the time! We took photos and did a walk through video. Goodbye Hershey house we loved living in you!
59 Carousel Cir, Hershey, PA 17033

All the Peterson family was supposed to come to Hershey for our summer reunion but it got cancelled because of the pandemic....so we used that time off from work and school to move and get settled. We signed the paperwork on our 14th anniversary! Probably won't be able to top this anniversary present any time soon!

New house! We love the extra space and beautiful details. The sellers planted strawberries, cherry tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and petunias for us to enjoy as well as leaving some adorable painted rocks for the kids to discover in the garden beds. They also left their swing set and a basement swing! We've already had lots of fun!
