Disney World!

We got to go to Disney World and Grandma, Grandpa and Mama Judy came along! We stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside resort and had such a great time visiting all the parks. We managed to see and do everything we wanted to (except the Magic Kingdom night show, we were beat and opted to swim at the pool instead). The kids all had a great time and we are so glad we got to go right up until they closed for the pandemic!

Magic Bands for the win!

Animal Kingdom was our first stop

So fun to see all the animals, Brielle loved Expedition Everest and the Avatar Flight of Passage ride was amazing!

Posing in Pandora

EPCOT had the food and flower festival going on so that was fun to see all the displays!

At one point Brielle left her BYU visor behind in the seat pocket of Soarin' Around the World. (Which was an amazing ride! Carter loved it!) We asked cast members to check but it wasn't found. Grandpa scoured the park for a good Disney replacement and got her one. But then later in the afternoon we checked with Lost and Found and someone had turned it in! This was a good lesson for Brielle to keep track of her things.

Ready to launch on Mission:Space

Cute tiny train village

Posing like Elsa and Anna

We enjoyed visiting many of the country pavilions in the World Showcase. We rode the Frozen boat ride, watched the Chinese acrobats, and we ate dinner in the Italy pavilion. The pizza crust was out of this world!

The night show was incredible, there were jet-skis flying colorful kites zig zagging across the water and at one point the kites spewed fireworks!

We enjoyed some yummy ice cream treats while we watched

Magic Kingdom was a blast! We didn't get to ride splash mountain or Jungle Cruise but everything else got checked off the list!

Carter and I won the Autopia race and managed to get a photo of everyone else! You can just see the top of Lily's hat next to Grandpa in the blue car.

Dole Whip Floats!

We saw our friends the Clements at Disney World! They are in our ward and Lanie and Brielle are in the same class at school and church! They have season passes so it wasn't too surprising to find them there, but all the same super fun to meet up with them!

Mama Judy was a trooper going on rides!

We caught the early early bus (6:15 AM!!!) to Hollywood studios so we could get a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance. It ended up being a long day because we stayed for the Fantasmic night show too, but it was so worth it!

Waiting outside Galaxy's Edge so we can ride Millenium Falcon. Sean gave Brandon this funny Storm Trooper shirt so of course he had to wear it! When we ran into a couple of troopers patrolling, they stopped and read it and shook their heads. It was so funny! I wasn't fast enough with my camera to get a photo though :(

The view of the crowd from where we were. It was packed....definitely a scene from the time before social distancing!

The Millenium Falcon ride was super fun! Everyone really loved Rise of the Resistance, truly one of our very favorite attractions! Also enjoyed the Frozen sing along show and the Slinky Dog Dash and the other fun rides in Toy Story Land.

Carter had fun taking some photos during some down time

And then he couldn't last any longer!

Our room was perfect for us because it had this child size murphy bed that dropped down from the wall so all 5 of us could fit comfortably. It was pretty cute and Carter loved his bed with Louis the trumpet playing gator.

Sunday morning the grandparents left and we went to the hotel pool for the third time of our trip...so glad I brought the swim gear, I almost left it at home, and it ended up being a highlight for the kids! We made it safely home, we were so glad we got to visit this magical place before everything went crazy!
