Carter got to tour the construction vehicles and sit in the seats and pull the levers. He loved it!
Lily's school completed their reading goal and they had a parade to celebrate! Every class represented a sea creature, and it was fun to see them all excited to walk in the parade! Lily's class made octopus costumes. Carter had fun trying it on too!
Lily really wanted to earn some money and do a lemonade stand. One afternoon we set it up by the mailbox and made a few dollars.
Then we made more lemonade and some treats and set up at the Memorial Day parade. That was a more lucrative location for sure! Some folks were very generous and gave way more money than the advertised price of 25 cents for a cup or a cookie. We loved the parade!
She ended up earning $25!!
Later that day we went to a lake near Reading, since Brandon needed to be there for a presentation early the next morning. It was crowded but really fun! The kids had a great time playing in the water. We'll have to go back on a non-holiday :) We finished the day eating some yummy seafood at a restaurant and then Brandon went to his hotel and I took the kids back home.
Here's Carter laying down because he was feeling contrary (or maybe tired) on a trip to the playground.
Brandon had a day off so we went on a long pre-anniversary date to Hersheypark! We got to try the new Reese's Cupfusion ride which has laser blasters and it was fun! I only trailed Brandon by 50,000 points haha!
We spent most of our time on the water slides and then got some Chick-fil-A for lunch. The frosted key lime and frosted lemonade were yummy!
We took Carter to breakfast on our anniversary day while the girls were in school. Thirteen years and counting!
Lily had her dance recital! She's participated in recitals before, but this was the first time with a large studio that had dozens of numbers on the program. Lily was in the first half, (which took an hour and a half!) so we were able to leave at intermission. She did such a beautiful job! Brandon was able to record her dress rehearsal run through.
Hooray Lily we're so proud of you! She worked very hard and practiced lots on the choreography. She's looking forward to doing more dance this summer.
