April dancing and spring

Easter was great this year. We watched General Conference, hosted a choir rehearsal and brunch, watched more Conference, and had a nice Easter dinner and Easter decorated cookies.  Conference was so great with sustaining Pres. Nelson and hearing about a lot of changes to how we do the Lord's work.

The following weekend was the girls' dance recital. They've had a great time doing dance with Miss Julie and their friends. We're so proud of them for working hard and performing so well!

Lily starts out on the very left side

Brielle starts out on the right

Carter trying out Brielle's backpack. He loves Dora the Explorer and likes to sing the backpack song.

Lily's hair was getting so long and she decided she wanted to cut it and donate it to Children with Hair Loss, which provides wigs on a yearly basis free of charge to children suffering from hair loss.

We ended up cutting about 12 inches!! She was so brave and I'm proud of her for being so generous. We all love her new look!

She and Carter were reading together and it was so cute!

For a nice weekend we drove to Lebanon (about 30 minutes away) to try the famed Shuey's pretzels. They make giant soft ones and smaller (but still big) crunchy ones. They were all delicious!

Then we drove to Ephrata to try out a creamery that Brandon's coworkers recommended. It was so cute and they had lunch food, a market, and fresh ice cream from the dairy farm that is right next to it. We tried Honey Lavender, Creamsicle, Party Cake, Chocolate Mint Cookie Dough, Wilbur Chocolate, Almond Brickle, Raspberry, and Salted Caramel Pretzel.

They had a cute playground out back and a chicken coop across the fence with some fancy roosters crowing away!

We also visited the Hershey Gardens to check out their tulips

Brielle was insistent on posing

Sounds like a lovely Easter weekend-President Nelson is going to keep us all on our toes! Thanks for sharing the girls’ dance recital-looks like they had a lot of fun. Carter is a regular man about town with the borrowed backpack and explorer skills gleaned from Dora. Gorgeous flowers -cute poses-the ice cream looks like you could dig in with your own spoon. Thanks for sharing!!
