Winter in PA means the Farm Show!!

At the end of December we had some good snow which the kids had a great time playing in!

Brandon had a Friday off so we kept Brielle out of school and went to the Pennsylvania Farm Show!

Carter really liked petting the animals

Cool cake creation!

Impressive gingerbread house!

We got really lucky and snagged our food and a table just before it got really busy. We all loved the Dairy Association milkshakes of course, as well as the Potato Growers french fries!

Visiting the bees

Cool mushroom display where we could touch all the different kinds

replica of Indian canoe

the girls pretended to row like Pocohontas

little piggies!

and ducklings!

Driving the tractors

We also saw a fun magician who used a chicken and a rabbit in his show!

After the first hour or so at the Farm Show, Brielle started acting upset and we couldn't figure out why. She wouldn't tell us for the longest time which was kind of frustrating. Finally she told us that she had lost her bracelet. We had to calm her down then explain that it's best to tell us right away if something is wrong so we have a better chance of fixing it. We retraced our steps looking (which was a lot of steps!) and we asked at every lost and found station there was. She and Brandon said a little prayer, she felt better, and we hoped for the best. We didn't find it anywhere, then on the bus ride back to the parking lot we wondered if it had fallen off in the bus. We got back to the van and discovered it had been there the whole time! It was a good lesson for her in being responsible for her things, and that Heavenly Father always answers our prayers, even if it's not the way we expect.
