We took advantage of the last evening with good light before the time change to do some family photos. This only happens about once every 2 or 3 years so it was a big deal! Luckily we got some good ones for our wall and the Christmas card. Loved all the beautiful leaves we found on the campus of the Milton Hershey School!
LOVE his big blue eyes! We've decided his eye shape is different from the girls, and they stay more open then theirs do, so they look extra blue :)
The kids were very patient and tried their best to follow instructions for Brandon. It was difficult to get them to smile non-cheesily haha!
so photogenic! she'll be a heartbreaker!
The next week our newest family member arrived....the couch! One piece was damaged and had to be re-ordered but the main parts were fine and look fantastic!
After 6 ear infections in a year, Carter got a consult with ENT and set up to get tubes placed in his ears. It was pretty smooth, here he is in his cute hospital gown getting ready for the procedure. He did great! Now just hoping he doesn't get infections every time he gets a cold!
For Thanksgiving, Brielle had the whole week off, so Brandon arranged his time off to match so we could go visit Texas! The trip went pretty well and we had a great time with Mama Judy! We visited the zoo, the playground, our favorite restaurants, the Discovery Center, and had a delicious Thanksgiving meal at the Hansons.
Digging for fossils at the zoo
My favorite zoo critter!
We also saw lemurs, monkeys, turkeys, lions, and a tiger!
One of Mama Judy's friends who came for FHE on Sunday returned Friday with these darling hats and ponchos for the girls, and a football beanie for Carter. So cute and amazing she could whip them out so fast!
Carter and Ben playing with the cash register. It was fun seeing the big boys play with the little kids
Leah, Michal, Tori....we just missed Ashley!
It was so great to be with them all! Of course the food was amazing....turkey, dressing, potatoes, gravy, rolls, veggies, and dessert! I made a chocolate pudding pie, a pecan pie, and a pumpkin streusel dessert. They also had Julie's famous and delicious banana cream pie and another pumpkin dessert, and green pistachio pudding salad!
Lily playing Doctor with the rainbow bear, I remember playing with that kit when I was her age!
The highlight was getting to play with Tessa! They spent all afternoon playing outside on the swings with her, and could've kept going till bedtime if we'd let them!
Carter also took his first steps at Mama Judy's house!
We flew back to Philadelphia Friday evening, spent the night there, and went to visit the temple on Saturday. It was lovely to be able to serve in the temple, and the kids had a great time at the Please Touch Museum! It was definitely not as crowded as our previous visit!
