Spring Break in Amarillo

We got to spend some time with Mama Judy in Amarillo! The flights there and back were long and Brielle refused to sleep, but there weren't any major disasters so we survived. The many pictures below are a true sampling of the photos we took...it seems we rarely focus the camera on anything other than Brielle. We did have lots of fun with Mama Judy, and with Grandma and Grandpa Peterson....they just didn't appear in the pictures!!

The Sunday before we left...pretty excited!

 At the zoo
Insisting on pushing the stroller instead of riding in it

At the Discovery Center...a children's Science museum

Her favorite toys there were steps and balls. Probably could've entertained her at home for cheaper!
It was still lots of fun.

Before we went into Caprock Canyon. The morning was cloudy and chilly and we were only prepared for sunny and 82 degrees! We bought a big shirt for Brielle and a sweatshirt for me at the gift shop to keep us warm. Once we actually made it down into the canyon the clouds burned off and the air warmed right up. Sigh

 Hiking in the canyon.

 What a good hiker!

Spring was coming to the canyon with beautiful flowers and budding trees
growing next to the big red rocks.

We also ate a lot of Tex-Mex, had two kinds of cake for my birthday, went to the park which Brielle loved, attended church (and Nursery!!), went shopping, and watched March Madness Basketball games. We're so glad we were able to spend time in Texas and that Brielle got to meet some of our dear family friends. Hopefully we'll get back soon!
