Beach Week

At the end of the first year of medicine residency, all the interns get a week off, at the same time, leaving the hospital in the hands of the new first and third year residents. Historically, a bunch of the interns would rent a beach house together and have a vacation at the beach, hence the name "beach week". We decided to stick with tradition and head to the coast, just us three. We spent some time at Sandbridge beach in Virginia, and Kill Devil Hills in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It was so relaxing and beautiful and the water wasn't too bad either! We had fun relaxing, collecting shells, looking at the jellyfish that washed up on shore, reading books, and playing in the sand. We might have to make this a yearly event!

Brielle successfully napping on the beach catching some rays. (Just kidding, she was under the umbrella)

Blurry photo, but we saw a dolphin swimming near the beach!

Keep telling yourself that was a dolphin.... I know killer shark dorsal fins when I see them (on nature shows).
