We kicked off summer with a lot of swim meets, young women's camp, and the symphony patriotic concert. The lights on the Medical School always look so cool!
Brielle started her first job as a lifeguard at HersheyPark! She was surprised that she gets paid for time spent in training, and also how tiring work can be!
At the end of June we flew to California for the Peterson family reunion! Our family enjoyed a day at Disneyland before heading down to San Diego
Breakfast for dinner at Mimi's cafe
My first time on the Incredicoaster!
The key to Disney!
We got to ride Rise of the Resistance twice!
Love the Jungle Cruise
Our first and last ride of the day was Radiator Springs Racers!
It was so fun to be with everyone! Jennie put in a lot of the work figuring out the vacation rental and meals and things. We enjoyed time at the Coronado Island beach, Lego Land, the San Diego zoo, and just being together at the house. The older cousins had fun playing poker (!) and also reading aloud a chatGPT generated Hunger Games story made from characters they chose.
We also got to tour the San Diego temple during the open house! I was so excited to be there, it's been one of my favorite temples since I was young.
Brandon and I went on a lunch date to Frenchie's on Coronado Island. Delicious brunch and lunch food and we got the viral hot chocolate in a mug shaped croissant. It was amazing!
Cousin time was the best
Little Danny is adorable and so much bigger now!
Carter built a s'mores from Lego
Miniland is all built from Lego and is so impressive!
Love the Dinos in NYC
Dinner at a Peterson favorite-Casa de Bandini!
Lily and Alana got some Henna
We flew home on Independence Day. As we landed in Harrisburg the winds picked up and the storm quickly moved in. As we were driving home our security system said the front door was opened, possibly by an intruder, but it was the wind! We were minutes away and got everything closed up! We did sparklers later in the week and Reese was happy to come back home too
