The stake got tickets to the Harrisburg Senators baseball game and we went along. It was fun! The theme was superhero night so the kids got capes and they got to see lots of super heroes in costume. Carter especially loved giving them high fives.

Lily was worn out!
She revived for the fireworks, they were so close and loud and cool! Carter loved them!
We went to a picnic sponsored by the Downtown association. The kids had fun coloring, getting faces painted, hula hooping, and eating ice cream
Lily celebrated with a princess birthday party.
We played the Princess Cupcake Party game that she got as a gift and the girls all loved it! She'd been planning her cake for months, she wanted all those princesses on top!
On her birthday itself we went with friends to Chocolate World, we also got her birthday meal at Red Robin during the week and received some lovely gifts.
A gift she received, it's a peel and stick stained glass art that she worked on all Sunday afternoon and finished it in one sitting! It's the size of a large dinner plate!
We love Lily!
She is a very talented and opinionated 5 year old! She is excited about her Wonder Woman costume, she loves coloring and is obsessed with color-by-number. She loves jewels and gems and is always wanting to buy/collect more. She also likes dancing, music, and has decided she wants to try soccer and karate. She is getting better with swimming and having confidence and fun in the water. She is about 40 inches tall, her hair is super long and I've resisted her ideas about cutting it because it's so pretty. Her favorite foods right now are hot dogs, alphabet cookies, cake, spaghetti, and chicken nuggets. When she was 3 or 4 she said she wanted to be a helicopter pilot when she grew up. Now she wants to be a doctor and a princess.
Brian came through Hershey on his way back to Minnesota so we got to go to HersheyPark all together! It was a chilly drizzly Monday morning, so the park wasn't at all crowded. We didn't get to the waterpark since it was too cold, but we still had a great time! I'm glad Brian and Brandon got to ride the big coasters together. Afterwards Brandon went to work and we took Brian to see chocolate world. It was packed since the weather was so crummy! We still managed to go on the ride, get lunch and milkshakes, get some souvenirs and have fun! Glad you visited Brian!
National S'more's day was the next week. I prepped by getting the giant campfire marshmallows, which Carter just had to try out in the store 😆
Yummy Messy S'more!
We got to help in a community effort to stuff backpacks with school supplies for area kids who couldn't otherwise afford them. Overall we helped fill about 415 backpacks! It was all very organized with a list of items needed in every backpack and then we went down the tables getting things for each child. The girls were great helpers and Carter got to play at a friend's house. So glad we could help in with this project and have the kids think about others.
The next weekend we took a trip to Philadelphia to visit the temple and the Please Touch Museum. We also got to go to the Shake Shack and Corner Bakery and the kids loved their giant breakfast at the Holiday Inn 😂
Carter could've stayed by this light up door all day!
The exhibit had us walk into favorite children's books like the Snowy Day (above) and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie (below)
She already can't wait to drive!
