Spring and Easter

It's been a cool spring, but any improvement, however small, from this polar vortex winter is a welcome change!

Here's what we've been up to:

Making Dinosaur eggs!

We also dyed some eggs the traditional way which Brielle loved.

Going to the Derry Township Easter egg hunt! It was very well organized, with separate hunts for each age group. Lily got a better haul than Brielle did.

Visiting the Hershey Fire Department

And another Easter egg hunt afterwards

Playing with the new bike Grandpa sent us!

Visiting HersheyPark for the first time this season!

The kids aren't too crazy at meeting characters up close, they prefer to wave and point from a distance.

Easter dresses....can't decide which picture is better.

We've had lots of rain, but lots of warmer days too. The flowers are blossoming and the days are getting longer. We've loved being able to play outside again, it's like we can finally come out of hibernation and see the neighbor kids playing together on the playground and sandbox. Brandon's looking forward to ending this first year with its front-loaded call schedule. Preschool will be finishing up this month, and Brielle has had a great time with it. I'm teaching her some reading as well and she's doing a great job. Lily is doing much better with nursery and is a real talker. She loves to show us what she colored with her wonderful nursery leaders. Today Brielle actually colored within the lines of a coloring page....usually she doesn't go beyond a few lines of color before abandoning it, so watching how her preschool friends color seems to have helped! Here's some of our recent arts/craft projects. Hooray for spring!
