Start of Summer Fun

Here’s what we’ve been up to lately! (Brandon was working in the ICU this past month, hence his absence from the following pictures)

We went strawberry picking!

For Mother’s Day I made a “Hannchen Jansen” cake with blackberries instead of gooseberries. Neil and family came to help eat it up!

We got together with some friends for lunch before everyone starts moving away. We’re in the throes of packing now, but some people have already moved!
Brielle had a great time playing in the house and jumping on the trampoline.

The girls got invited to a birthday party for a friend from Storytime. Brielle and Elliot have been in the same storytime since they were 6 months old! Now their younger siblings come too! Little Topher was turning 1 and we celebrated at Sweethaus Cupcake Bakery! It’s really cute there; there’s a play area for the kids, then they did a craft and then decorated 2 cupcakes. Lily enjoyed her first taste of a mini cupcake!

For Memorial Day we went to the beach at Mint Springs with some friends! The day was cloudy and not very hot, so it was quite pleasant! The water was cool but not freezing. Both the girls loved it!

Someone brought their kayaks and let us take turns, Neil took Brielle out for a little kayak trip! ​

There were hundreds of tadpoles in the shallow water!

We celebrated 7 years of marriage....can’t believe it’s gone so quickly! I’m sure lucky to have Brandon, he makes me a better person and I love him so much! He brought me these beautiful flowers and yummy chocolates!
