Though we anticipated she would arrive early, it was still exciting/unexpected to rush to the hospital in the wee hours of the morning a couple weeks before my due date. We made it as far as the triage room, where they announced I'd be delivering right then, no spacious birthing room, no epidural. Thankfully everything turned out wonderfully and we couldn't be happier with our new daughter! The previous day I'd had a growth ultrasound and they'd estimated that she was around 7 lbs. Less than 24 hours later, she arrived on the scene...a whopping 5 lbs. 10 oz. (think they can calibrate their ultrasound measurements a little better?) She is healthy, she eats and sleeps better than Brielle did, and she seems pretty mellow, which is good, because Brielle requires a fair bit of attention too. She's a good big sister, being gentle with Lily, giving her tender kisses, patting her back for burps and helping to calm her down when she's crying. (She'll say "shhhh" along with me, or rock/bounce the seat she's in, etc.)
One of the best parts for Brielle was having not only a new sister, but Mama Judy here to play with her!
We feel so blessed that she could come to help out, that Lily arrived at a good time for Brandon's work schedule, and that I've recovered so well. It's hard to believe that we're a family of four! We love our girls and feel privileged to be their parents.

So cute! I didn't realize how close you and Rebecca were due! How fun for you. Congratulations!!! Our girls have almost the same name. :)
